Probably my favorite plant that died on me. Tried taking cuttings and passing out cuttings before it went downhill, but nothing ever took. A female too, may she RIP.  I remember ordering this on a group order with lol and I was the only one to order this plant. I love the spectabilis x ventricosa-red and adding northiana to the mix can only make it better, I reasoned. I was rewarded with one of the best plants in the entire order. Back then it was only $25 or $35 bucks. Today, rooted cuttings sell for $80 - $100. I do have ep's clone a from this grex getting ready to open a couple pitchers, but its not the same. |
