N. anamensis Macfarlane (1908)
Indochina; Moss Forest, Highland
Synonym: geoffrayi Lecomte, kampotiana Lecomte, micholitzii Bonst.
Description: in brackets from A. Marshall


Stems:climbing; (cylindrical)not coarse, (5 mm thick).
Leaves: sessile, with wings, amplexicaul to clasping stem with sheath, not decurrent to (slightly decurrent around 1/4 of the stem); lamina (linear-)lanceolate to lanceolate- spathulate 9 to 18 1/2 cm long, 1.8 to 3 cm thick; (apex acuminate); base attenuate; veins 3-4 located in the outer (2/3) part of the lamina, venation distinct, (margin entire, midrib pronounced below. 2 longitudinal folds, 1 per side present in younger leaves).
Lower Pitchers: ovate in the lower part, (strongly hipped), tubulose and contracted towards the mouth in the upper part, (3 1/2 to 5 1/2 cm long); 2 fimbriate wings present, (to 3 mm wide, fimbriate portions to 2 mm long); mouth ovate (to orbicular, oblique, to nearly vertical); (peristome flattened horizontally slightly wider in front than in rear, not meeting at neck), to 0.3 cm wide; lid orbicular- ovate, apex rounded, base abruptly contracted, lid flat with no basal glandular appendages, (but with at least 12 longitudinal veins, glandular); spur simple (or branched, 5) to 10 mm, inserted near lid.
Upper Pitchers: unknown.
Inflorescence: a raceme.
Indumentum: (plant covered with a fine, white tomentose indumentum minutely present on the surface of the leaves and the stems.).
Color: leaves green to yellowish- green at margins, tendril yellow green, pitchers reddish- green with red stripes, lid same as pitcher, peristome yellowish.
Distinguishing Features: (Distinguished from N. mirabilis by leaf margin which is entire rather than dentate.)
