Hello ;)

I've forgotten to post here a report (Most of you must know it now i imagine.) i have done in 2006 to Mahé with the pervillei. Maybe the most amazing nepenthes i've seen.

The flowers......... different as the nepenthes in general. ( Similar as the Madagascariensis nepenthes, which i'll maybe see next year. )

I am particularly intrigued by the rosette growth pattern and inflorescence exhibited by this species.

I have, in batches of hybrids, occasionally encountered an anomalous plant that will exhibit this sort of growth pattern where you would not expect it. I have often wondered if this growth pattern is not the result of deeply recessed genes in the genus.

N. pervillei is so different from the other species in so many ways that I sometimes wonder why taxonomists didn't keep the old Anurosperma genus.

One of my very favourite species.

Nepenthes are plants before they are Carnivorous Plants! Cultivating should be like all plants!

The seed pods look almost fleshy-fruit-like. Curious if the seeds are still the same though.
