For US Customers: Does the phrase "Slow-boat to China," mean anything to you? M Michael, You are correct. I just learned the books were sent via surface mail, due to weight. Estimated delivery time is 4-6 weeks

First, there was the disappointment I felt when I ordered the books last year only, after paying, to discover a month or so later, that they had not even been printed.
Then, disappointed when they did not go to press all winter. Then, after communicating with Stewart and being told mine would be pushed to the top of the list but that they would not go to press until April. Then, nothing in May or June. Now, to find that they will probably not arrive until late July or August. I am very disappointed!

Mine just arrived yesterday in Singapore. ;D
Both copies are really thick & heavy just like an encyclopedia. Great photos and content! I would say it is a must-have for nep enthusiast.

Spellchecker, schmellchecker. These books are primo plant porn, plain and simple, and just like their adult mag cousins, YOU DON'T BUY THEM FOR THE ARTICLES! Sheeeshhh.....:-)

Patience is a virtue and how much more disapointed would you have been if the newly described / found species weren't in it.

Quotes which hurt me brain: "Many of the Sumatran Nepenthes are closely related to each other, and five clear groups are easily distinguish; firstly, N. bongso, N. densiflora, N. diatas, N. ovata, N. singalana and N. spathulata; secondly, N. aristolochioides, N. flava, N. jamban, N. jacquelineae, N. talangensis and N. tenuis; thirdly, N. dubia and N. inermis; and lastly N. longifolia, N. sumatrana and N. rafflesiana." Hmm, something isn't adding up here... Then there's: " Nepenthes pervillei grows on the misty slopes of Mahe Island, Seychelles, and overlooks the idyllic blue water of the Pacific Ocean." Uh, is he trying to misdirect us? Seriously, these are some good books, and I'm glad they took the extra time to make them better.

The quotes are from Volume II. I'll let you guys find the pages when your books arrive The photography is so very good. And Stewart really did a great job covering species which have not been well documented previously, just on these two points people should be very interested in purchasing these volumes.

Hi François, Unfortunately I've got a longer wait than you I've asked my family to get them for me for Christmas as there is nothing else I want. I may just enquire (chase them up) to see if they've done so yet. I have seen them though, as Andy brought a copy of both to Aidan's Open Day. Shame you couldn't make it - you'll love the new polytunnel. Phil.

I got my books just a couple of days ago. Spectacular!!! I can't believe how much effort has been put in to write about almost every species. 1400 pages of absolute bliss.
