This Nepenthes cross is one of my favorites. The following three pics were shot last week of this inflating pitcher. Today the pitcher started to open and it appears that this one may have a striped peristome, from the quick glance i took of the inside of the opening pitcher. I also have the Wistuba clone of this cross, and it is a real beauty at maturity, so hopefully this N. veitchii x boschiana cross from EP will be every bit as nice as the one from Wistuba. dvg

Interesting! How big is it? I'd like to touch the pitcher, it looks like it is hard as a lowii

Interesting! How big is it? I'd like to touch the pitcher, it looks like it is hard as a lowii It's a bit smaller than the previous pitcher (left). This was the pitcher that came with the plant when i received it last year, so i know it does have the potential to make larger-sized pitchers. And though the pitchers look solid enough, they are not quite as woody as a N. lowii would feel. dvg

That's a very fine pitcher you have there Jonathan. That pitcher body is as sleekly streamlined as any sportfishes - and sportin' a great peristome too! dvg

Here's an update on the newest pitcher to open on this N. veitchii x boschiana. It is resting in a 4" pot of Neoregelia 'Wild Tiger'. dvg

Did you mean to say dominating a "4" pot of Neoregelia 'Wild Tiger'"?
Wow, that is an impressive pitcher!
