Borneo; Moss Forest, Highland (600 - 1000 m)
Synonyms: hispida G.Beck., zeylanica Raf.
Description: DANSER 306
Stems: climbing; cylindrical, to .5- .6 cm thick.
Leaves: sessile, with amplexicaul sheath; lamina lanceolate- spathulate to obovate: 15 cm x 3 cm to 20 cm x 6 cm; margins hirsute; apex acute; base attenuate; veins: 3- 4, located in the outer 1/2 of lamina, pennate nerves irregularly reticulate.
Lower Pitchers: abruptly originating from tendril, ovate, ventricose: cm x cm to 15 cm x 7 cm; 2 fimbriate wings present, to .2- .7 cm; mouth oblique, ovate, elevated towards the lid; peristome involute at the outer side, flattened on the inner side, to 0.6 cm wide, lid ovate, flat; apex obtuse, base cordate, glandular; spur simple, inserted.1- .5 cm from lid.
Upper Pitchers: infundibulate in the basal part, the rest tubulose, almost straight on the back side, curved on the winged side, rarely ventricose in the lower part or narrowly infundibulate over the whole length: 8 cm x 2.5 cm to 12 cm x 3 cm; 2 ribs present, with a fringed rudiment, to 0.6 cm wide; mouth horizontal, acuminate towards the neck; peristome involute at the outer side, flattened on the inner side, to 0.3 cm wide; lid ovate, apex emarginate, base cordate,basal part of midrib slightly prominent, glandular; spur filiform, inserted close to lid, to 0.6 cm.
Inflorescence: a raceme (lateral), to 30 cm; pedicels 1 flowered,.3- .4 cm long; bracts not present.
Indumentum: very dense when young, deciduous, leaving brown spots, becoming even glabrous when older.
