Synonyms: decurrens Macf., nordtiana Boerl., spuria G.Beck.
Description: DANSER 343
Stems: climbing; cylindrical, to .6- .8 cm thick.
Leaves: mostly sessile, semiamplexicaul, decurrent in 2 wings over 2 internodes; lamina elliptic, oblong or obovate: 15 cm x 3 cm to 35 cm x 10 cm; apex rounded or peltate; base attenuate; veins: 4, located in the outer part of lamina, pennate veins indistinct.
Lower Pitchers: small or medium sized, wholly ovate or ovate in the lower part, and cylindrical towards the mouth; 2 fimbriate wings present, to cm; mouth ovate, oblique; peristome flattened- cylindrical to expanded, narrow in front and near lid broader on the side, finely ribbed, to 1- 5 cm wide; lid ovate- oblong, to 2- 10 cm, apex acute, base rounded.
Upper Pitchers: large, gradually or abruptly originating from tendril, tubulose or infundibulate: to 40 cm x 12 cm; 2 fimbriate wings present; mouth ovate, oblique; peristome flattened- cylindrical to expanded, narrow in front and near lid broader on the side, finely ribbed, to 1- 4 cm wide; lid ovate- oblong, to 2- 10 cm, apex acute, base rounded.
Inflorescence: a triangular raceme, to 35 cm; pedicels 1- 2 flowered, .2- .3 cm long.
Indumentum: sparse, the stems and pitchers glabrous.
Color: leaves shining green, the pitchers pale- green with purple spots, the peristome yellowish green with purple stripes.
