Although only Sam could say for certain, I think the veitchii x Tiveyi has a pink peristome: lhnn.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=hybridssc&action=display&thread=202I'd wager that this is pure veitchii. I'm curious about the plant with the upper pitcher circled below: (Christian, please forgive my shameless re-use of your photo; I don't know of a clearer way to identify which plant I'm talking about. I can remove it if you like.) Is this perhaps the upper of the recent POM Kohala? Whatever it is, the shape & coloration caught my eye -- it's like an improved maxima upper.

Christian, your superb photography + Sam's plants = something fantastic. I love how crisp the first veitchii photo is. I also really enjoyed the whole plant & group shots -- pitcher photos are always nice, but these give a greater sense of the place. Great work, and do share again the next time you go!

Wow, Purple Haze is amazing! Keep us updated as it grows -- I'd be curious to see the uppers eventually, too. I'm pretty sure the grex is actually St. Sabina, not St. Sabrina. See this Wikipedia page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_SabinaA google search for "St Sabrina" turns up references to a certain tattoo shop but no saints, so it seems less likely to fit in with the saint series of Sam's greges.

Do any of the SoMs show the "hip" of boschiana? I don't think any of mine do. That's a very nice clone you have, pill23. Just for fun, here's an update on the first clone I had pictured:

The sumatrana x who-knows are looking good -- I was actually wondering about how these were turning out not that long ago (probably because I'm nursing along 4 beccariana red seedlings). Interesting that the alata x sibuyanensis is turning out so large -- it looks like a real beast!

Amazing as usual, Sam. I continue to be impressed by the Nile. The color palette is not quite the same, but it still reminds me of EP's putative platychila x fusca. Would that happen to be the 'Kalapena' cultivar of Kohala that was for sale on the retail site a while ago? Very nice, and it looks markedly different from some of the seedlings posted on the current grex registry pages. In addition to its highly attractive pitchers, I've found that Ruby Alice does very well in lowland conditions, too
