Fantastic collection Hans. Your N.rajah pic is definitely my favourite and is currently my wallpaper. Amazing quality and very very cute pitcher. Thanks for sharing.

this is probably one of the best hybrids I have seen in my life (apart from predator, alien, kinabaluensis and harryana). Fantastic Sam. Thats a keeper for sure. Unfortunate that probably cuttings is the only way to reproduce that plant. But its the diamond among the crowd.

lol! just like me with my utrics and sundews. lol! well..... thats alright. I think I will cheat and maybe purposely get a garden center fern and put it close to my neps and see if the spores colonise the nep pots.

Just a question...is this because you guys grow your neps outdoors? DO they originate from the moss or the spores in the air? Are the species of ferns similar to the ones you see growing around the general area of the plants?

sorry to hear that. SOme of those plants would have been just WILD to look at. but well.... your experience still counts and means that you should have no issue with quite a few plants. Hope your new collection progresses well.

For posting images, you first need to host your images on the internet. You can do this if you already have internet webspace, but there are also a few FREE websites where you can host your images. A few of the popular ones are www.flickr.com , www.photobucket.com and www.imageshack.us Among these, flickr and imageshack FREE accounts have bandwidth limits, however, imageshack gives unlimited bandwidth ( not sure if that is exactly true....but, it's atleast a lot more than the others). On the other hand, imageshack and photobucket have a lot of ads on the page whereas flickr is clean, organised, less ads and a dedicated site to host your pictures in a clean well organised manner. Having used all 3, I use flickr as I have a pro account by free (from my rogers internet service), however my other choice is imageshack. I) So when you go to imageshack you can see this: By vraev at 2008-06-01 Now on the top right corner, there is a sign up. I SUGGEST you sign up so that all the images you upload will be under one place and then you can look back, refer to them later by just logging in to your images page. Once you log in, you will see a page like this: By vraevNotice that all your images are neatly organised in one page. If you don't sign in, you can still upload images, but they will be all over the server and impossible to find if you loose the link. II) Now, to upload images use the UPLOAD IMAGE on the right: By vraev at 2008-06-01 choose your image file, if its tooo big in dimensions, you can resize it. Then once you upload it will be seen here added at the top of the list: By vraev at 2008-06-01 III) click that little "!" icon to get this box with details By vraev at 2008-06-01 See the top box. Click once to totally highlight the code. CTRL + C to copy and paste it with CTRL + V in your message on this or any forum to post your image. that should do it. cheers, Varun PS: I don't use this site too much anymore. The plants pics of that ceph etc are very veyr very old. lol! almost an year ago now. My plants look much much better . lol! However, the beautiful nep pics are not mine....those are Leilani's (unclemesa's plants). A local forum member visitied Sam and brought back pics to show. I helped him to host it up and post it on the forum.

Fantastic report. Thanks sooo much for posting this. I love to see reports of neps in the wild. Always makes me wonder how REAL neps grow. THe wimpy ones we grow in pots under lights are not even close to their wild counterparts which indeed face the elements to survive.

Here's fingers crossed for hope that this plant can soon be introduced into cultivation. IMO it looks better than an aristolochioides and seems to be an interesting member of this highly active genus.
