This is my very first trip on visiting nep's habitat, I went to a place at North Tapanuli Regency, and on the way have seen neps growing by the road sides and on the hills. The trip was on November 2006
This is on the way to a village called "Pahae", where found neps growing by the road sides:
The pitchers found hanging on tree branches and the whole plants growing on slopes:
Now, arriving in the village, we were showed around by a local of where these "tahul-tahul" can be found, the villagers are considering neps as weeds only, only at the back of the village there is small jungles that already being domesticated about 50% by the local growing rubber trees and other crops.
But neps still can be found in several spots growing under the bushes and high up on the tree.
Most found species were N. Ampullaria, N. Gracilis, N. Tobaica and N. Reinwardtiana.
