Very nice. My plant is not as large. I guess that the shipping and being replanted slows them down. Also, I am not growing it in as nice an environment. Do all of these come from one crossing?

Even King Kong started out as a baby! Now that we have bred N. merrilliana, what future hybrids await when N. insignis, rajah and some highland truncatas start flowering. It is evident in many hybrids how some seedlings actually grow larger than either parent. If this is the case here, step back! Is our current growing spaces adequate to house these? Probably not. But we'll have them in any event!
Got a spare bedroom for that one?

in what environment are you guys growing the caesar? highland, lowland i would really like to know the temp. and humidity.

typical LL. 90 or so day, ~78-80 at night, constant high humidity.

Just out of curiosity, why did you (Leilani) name the two N. merrilliana hybrids with non-Hawai'ian names? (Caesar and Pompei).
