Upon repotting several of my seed grown N. copelandii, I noticed a distinctive tuber. These tubers were not the thickened roots like N. sp. Viking, but rather larger yam-like stocks. I'm curious if anyone else have noticed this on their copes! M

So, does this ever happen with N. alata?

I have read nothing referring to this about N. copelandii from its description. I wonder if N. copelandii may be another misnomer as we had experienced with the N. pilosa/chaniana controversy.
As for N. alata having a tuber. I have seen N. alata v. boschiana develop a similar swelling.
I'll get some shots up here when my new camera arrives.
