I am particularly intrigued by the rosette growth pattern and inflorescence exhibited by this species.
I have, in batches of hybrids, occasionally encountered an anomalous plant that will exhibit this sort of growth pattern where you would not expect it. I have often wondered if this growth pattern is not the result of deeply recessed genes in the genus.

N. pervillei is so different from the other species in so many ways that I sometimes wonder why taxonomists didn't keep the old Anurosperma genus.
One of my very favourite species.

The seed pods look almost fleshy-fruit-like. Curious if the seeds are still the same though.
