I am starting this thread with the intention of a running picture thread to cut down on new threads for pictures from a certain time frame like I have done in the past. I finally got a chance to take several pictures this weekend, but it will probably take me a couple of days to get them all posted. Here is the first batch.... I hope you enjoy them. N gracilis nigropurpurea N ventricosa xx rokko N ventricosa x pectinata C0547 - This plant was received labeled as thorelii x ampullaria; however, a quick search on-line leads me to believe it is ventricosa x ampullaria. Will the real Slim Shady please stand up…. This plant is mis-labeled in multiple places on the internet as N. ventricosa x ampullaria. However, Geoff and Andrea of Exotica recognized the plant and corrected the derivation.

Amazing array of Nep pitchers there Ellisonk001.
I was admiring your N. truncata and wondering where it was obtained from and whether it was seed grown or a clone...very nice!

DVG, Thanks for the kind words! As for the truncata, I received it from a grower in Pennsylvania; however, I do not know much about its background (SG or TC). I have had it for about a year and a half and it has really started to come into its own the last two pitchers. I hope the colors continue to develop as it get bigger. That's a beautiful ovata and a potentially great clone of ventricosa x ephippiata! Yes, both of those really popped right out of the screen with those intensely bright colors. Keith you have a lot of great plants and some real beauties in there as well. dvg

The ovata is one of my favorites; I hope it keeps its color and proportions as it gets bigger. Only time will tell.....

Spectacular, Keith! Your poi dog reminds me of St. Sabrina (sanguinea x (fusca x veitchii)), though a bit different. Here's a thread from that other forum showing St. Sabrina: pitcherplants.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=print&thread=9159I think yours are the first Kohala uppers I've seen on the boards -- a more elegant version of x Splendiana it seems. And a female to boot! In the first pic of thorelii x merrilliana it looks as though you had to buy the neighbor's house, too, to fit all your plants

I see what you mean about the poi dog looking like St. Sabrina. I colors really seem to be a good match; however, the pitcher shape is off just a bit. I will have to look for more pictures.... Thanks this is a lot closer than anything I have been able to find. I am very happy with the way the Kohala uppers have turned out. Of course, being female is a nice bonus... I haven't had to buy more property to fit my plants, but I have had to rearrange things several times and caught a lot of flack from my wife......
