Hello, my name's John
I've been growing CP's for about four-five years now.
Here are some of the Nepenthes I grow.
N. alata 'Boschiana Mimic'
N. "gentle"
N. glabrata
N. gracilis var. nigrapurpurea
N. hamata
N. reinwardtiana "red" Seed-grown
N. reinwardtiana "red" deep red Here's a pic
N. sanguinea x truncata
N. splendiana x (veitchii x tiveyi)
N. truncata "Queen of Hearts" X "King of Spades"
N. truncata pasian HL (fed this one a mouse, digested everything but the hair)
Here's a bit more about me
Nepenthes reinwardtiana is currently my favorite species, but I only care for the red variant.
I graduate from high school in eight days; out of my graduating class of 412 students, I'm in the top four percent.
I'd like to live in the Malay Archipelago when I'm older; discovering new species of Nepenthes and studying their biochemistry.
I am very good at writing, here's some stuff I've written.
Sometimes life's as cleared as an obscure dream
Teetering on the vaguest of balance beams
A path of action undefined
Yet to be forged by the heart and the mind
I love old fancy items and architecture from the 17th and 18th century, this is a poem I wrote about about my love for old objects.
I have a silk tophat Circa 1900's ;D
The things that I collect are mere fragments of the past
Ashes of a former glory, that nothing can surpass
From a time of ornamental grandeur and splendor by design
Such beauty's what my heart longs for, what I strive to make mine.
Here's a poem I wrote inspired by
my love for ferns, moss and lichen
The secinate vernation of these ferns
Intrigues my curiosity
So much so that I arise from the slumber where I lie
In this forest of mossy green!
This forest must have a brain
How else could it know my name?
For it beckons with a tug, and embraces with a hug
This forest of mossy green
Oh the friendship I've developed with these trees!
As they lend their pleasant places to me!
In the crooks of trees I lay as I while away my days
In this forest of mossy green
Oh Forest my dear, lend me your ear!
Listen as I sing
Send with a tug, receive with a hug
Crown me as your King!
Anyways
Here's a picture of me Standing next to a Gunnerah
