Stems: (3 m high in cultivation, cylindrical to elliptic, to 7 mm thick, rosettes present).
Leaves: sessile, amplexicaul, shortly decurrent (to less than 3/4 of the length of the internode); lamina lanceolate to spathulate: margins entire; apex (obtuse to gradually) acuminate; base (obtuse to) auriculate; veins: 5-6, located in the outer 1/4, venation not distinct, (margin entire).
Lower Pitchers: tubulose, to somewhat ventricose in the lower part, 6 to 18 cm long, ; 2 fimbriate wings present, (4 mm wide); mouth ovate; peristome cylindrical, to .1 cm wide; lid orbicular; apex rounded, base rounded, glandular, (with 2 prominent dorsal ridges, with equally prominent furrow between, 2.7 cm x 2.2 cm); spur simple, inserted close to lid, to .05 cm.
Upper Pitchers: tubulose, slightly ventricose in the lower part,slightly hipped 10 cm x 4 cm to 17.5 cm x 7.5 cm; 2 prominent ribs present; mouth ovate; peristome cylindrical, to .1 cm wide; lid orbicular, apex rounded, base rounded, lid glandular; spur simple inserted close to lid.
Inflorescence: a raceme, (25 cm to 45 cm long).
Indumentum: red, tomentose, (present on tendril, traps and midrib on the lower side).
Color: mostly light-green, pitchers green, tinged with red.
