Stems: Leaves: sessile; lamina spathulate
Lower Pitchers:
Upper Pitchers: infundibulate in the lower part, strongly contracted in the middle, then tubulose or narrowly infundibulate in the upper part; wings not present; mouth ovate; peristome cylindrical, to .2- .3 cm wide; lid orbicular, apex rounded, base attenuate; lid flat. Inflorescence: a panicle. Indumentum:
Color: leaves dark green above, pitchers reddish to light- green, with red flecks or not, lid red beneath, green or reddish above.
Distinguishing Features: seeds are very short, with no appendages.
