N. rhombicaulis Kurata (1973) Sumatra; Highland (1800 - 1900 m) INCOMPLETE DESCRIPTION
Stems: climbing; obliquely angular. Leaves: sessile; lanceolate. Lower Pitchers: small, ventricose in the lower part, slightly contracted in the middle, tubulose to narrowly infundibulate in the upper part: 5 cm x 1 cm to 10 cm x 2 cm; 2 fimbriate wings present; mouth oblique; peristome cylindrical to expanded, undulated, to .05- .2 cm wide; lid orbicular; to 2 cm; apex rounded, base cordate, glandular, without appendages, keeled; spur simple, inserted close to lid. Upper Pitchers: rarely developed, ventricose in the lower part, slightly contracted in the middle, tubulose to narrowly infundibulate in the upper part: 5 cm x 1 cm to 10 cm x 2 cm; 2 prominent ribs present; mouth oblique; peristome cylindrical to expanded, narrower than lower pitcher, to .05- .1 cm wide; lid elliptic, to 2 cm, apex rounded, base cordate; lid glandular, without appendages, keeled; spur simple, inserted close to lid. Inflorescence: a raceme. Indumentum: Color: leaves dark- green above, light- green below, lower pitchers reddish green with darker red blotches or spots, peristome green or red, upper pitchers green with red spots, whitish inside, peristome green, lid like pitcher, lighter below.
