As an opportunity has presented itself for a group EP order in Europe I find myself musing what might be worth picking up from the current catalog. I am rather biased towards the view that many (most?) hybrids do not distinguish themselves above the species , so I am looking for something that might truly do so.
So far I have come up with sibuyanensis x merilliana - I can't grow lowlanders, and it appears sibuyanensis contributes size and highland tolerance to produce a hybrid which will probably have the largest pitchers I am likely to grow
N.lowii x boschiana - The colour and shpe of lowii with the colour and size of boschiana seems to offer some potential.
Any other thoughts for a hybrid novice?

Hi Dave,
Your ability of growing neps very well even on some tough species, you are not any novice, as come to hybrids it is even easier for you.
Some newbie suggestion ;D, I just got from EP some of the new one, and recommendable are the veitchii H/L x eymae (the reversed of the old one), new trunc x xTM, (ventricosa x sibuyanensis) x xTM are some that I see got lots of potential that already shown from when they are still small one.

I really like their maxima x Trusmadiensis N. sibuyanensis x (northiana x veitchii) Look at this pitcher to leaf ratio. Maxima x veitchii Sarawak I kind of like hybrids with better pitcher to leaf ratios myself. M
