lol! If I were to chime in... N. sibuyanensis is the ugliest nepenthes for me. The pitcher color....the fatness.... ugghh. I can't believe it grows sympatrically with the very beautiful N. argentii.

The only aristolochioides cross I've got is tentaculata x aristolochioides. It's such a slow grower and the pickiest hybrid I've got. Btw ... it lost also the "tentacles" like most of the hamata hybrids.

haha!! lol Sam!! You are right...that dubia hybrid is pretty ugly. Let me guess....an aristo is involved? I know I am possibly wrong because there is absolutely no speckling on the pitcher...but the front facing mouth is clearly pointing towards aristo. Not many species can impart that in hybrids. But well...I suck at hybrid guessing...so as mentioned...I might be wrong. Kinda ironic....If I am right...those are two very beautiful parents..&..An ugly child. I guess there is always one in a bunch where genetics don't help. LMAO!

that tenta X aristo hybrid doesnt look too bad to me hey . . . Im probably biased toward anything tentaculata because i like it alot! haha I remember a guy saying somewhere "I dont think any well grown nepenthes can ever be ugly". He will be quite shocked if he found this thread Boris . . . whats that dark pitcher with the orange peristome in the bottom of your second pic?

Some think this is an "astonishing variety" of cat. "He looks like a bat ........... but is he really ugly? In my own frank opinion, I think he looks quite nice and cool, I would love to have one as a pet."
