That's a very cool hybrid, lots of potential. It's interesting that there aren't more Dyeriana hybrids out there for as long as it's been around. Just imagine N. truncata x Dyeriana!

Hi Noa, Dyeriana has been bred many times in the past ( .. Victorians, MBG and the Japanese) but most of these have long ago disappeared from culture. In more recent times, Dyeriana has once again gotten the attention of breeders in Thailand and Indonesia where it is pretty widely available. Yeah, you would think that someone would have done N. truncata xx Dyeriana by now (... propably in Japan). I just pollinated bical with truncata and, as far as I know, it does not seem to have been done before.

It would be nice to see more of the Japanese hybrids. I feel like there's all sorts of stuff there that we haven't heard of.
bical x truncata sounds awesome. It's one of those crosses that you would have expected to be done by now.
