Just a thread to showcase some hybrids which remain smaller. And while many may be smaller is pitcher size, they can still develop clusters which could become larger than any single giant plant! This is a fine example of N. tobaica x thorelii (purple). Pitchers are a bright maroon-purple and these plants makes so much pitchers, they can be requalified as a monster with small pitchers! When the above is crossed with a medium species such as macfarlanei, we get something interesting and different. The coloration shows through, but in a different form. Michael

Some of the key species ingredients include N. aristolochioides. Here an N. ventricosa female parent is combined with an aristolochioides male. The result is attractive smallish pitchers in a deep red. But don't let these small diminutive pitchers fool you, they can get some size in time. M
