N. truncata (Exotica seed grown) This is actually more brown than red. This latest batch of second generation seedlings have been showing some interesting color variations. A striped form, but striped in vivid color tones not seen in many truncata forms. M

Nice... M It's neat to see the different varieties there are especially in seed grown batches. That 'true' striped truncata is wonderful.

Wow, are those seed grown ones all lowland? I didn't know the lowland variety could be so colorful!

Sam,
Nice one, is your truncata H/L = Pasian? How long it takes to grow to this pitcher size? Thanks
Ed

wijaya ....
It was purchased as a seedling around 2004 as "N. truncata, HL" from an outfit called "Boer"(?) in Canada. I was under the impression that it was from BE but ep has pointed out that it looks very much like one of theirs. (?)

Thanks Sam for the answer. Very clear to me that it will take at least 4 years to grow a truncata with that size of pitcher so I only have like 3 more years to go. Ed

I've been using a large bark/med bark/small bark/perlite/ and a little bit of peat but cedar mulch looks like a good media as well
