I like many hybrids and a hybrid in many cases are better than the species that are tc'd and sold en masse. But a price of $120 for a seedling the size of an iphone attachment is absurd. These are economic woe times and dishing out $120 is outright scandalous. It isn't a new species, it's not a new hybrid, either parents don't cost that much as plant/rooted cutting either. But if you feel compelled to buy it, then do so. It won't be long before some other grower will make a hybrid like N. lowii x eymae, or eymae x Trusmadiensis, lowii x Mixta, (lowii x ventricosa) x Miranda, (lowii x ventricosa) x maxima ruffled edge and will sell for a lot less or even as inexpensive seeds that can be germinated and sold/traded. Nepenthes hybridization is occurring at alarming rates, it won't be long before we see many newer species made with others into creative unique hybrids.

EP is selling the reverse of the cross, N. maxima x (lowii x ventricosa) at a much reduced price. How much do you want to bet they will be twice to three times the size?
