Since this seems to be the avant garde thread group, let me ask if anyone has done any work with gibberelic acid and Nepenthes seedling growth rates; or with carbon nanotubes and their effect on Nepenthes seed germination rates and seedling growth rates? I have heard that gibberelic acid may have negative effects on plants in the long term, but the carbon nanotube research seems promising, if somewhat lacking in specifics (such as what specific size of nanotubes are most useful).

I have seen some results from the carbon adition but there isn't enough data or cross comparisons to say that it actually yields better results. Fertilizing does improve stem thickness, encourages better growth and faster recovery from cuttings and flowering, yet very few individuals attempt in trying it. Instead of trying to use nano tech of carbon, perhaps more emphasis would be to find a perfect fertilizer.
