Describe your growing conditions, please. How old is the growing media? What do you use as a water source? How low do night temps go? Etc, etc.

do you fertilize? I find that it helps my plants to fertilize them. My ventrata will usually start making smaller leaves as it starts to run out of nutrients, same as my ventricosa.

the media is 8 months old mostly coconut chips with a little perlit spagnum peat and vermiculite. humidity is high during the night with a big drop in the day. temps are quite high during the day with a 38 degree c max during the day and i think around 20 during the night. and yes i do fertilise but not regularly and not much. i have to mention that the sang is of flowering size and it is flowering season here

I'm thinking consistent lows of 20C is too warm for N. sanguinea, and daytime highs of 38C is definitely going to be detrimental in the long run. It would much prefer lows in the range of 11C to 14C, and highs not above 32C. I don't suppose there is any way to get temps more into that range where you are, is there? Highland Nepenthes are notorious for sulking if temps stay too warm for an extended period. It is unlikely you will lose the plant, but it may not grow properly until seasonal change brings lower temperatures.

Well, when a highlander starts to show a decline in pitcher/leaf size, temps exceeding its comfort range is usually the culprit.
