Description: DANSER 333, KURATA 56, JEBB 32
Stems: shrubby, erect, climbing, to 6 m; cylindrical, to .6- 1 cm thick.
Leaves: petiolate, slightly winged forming a sheath at base, thin- coriaceous; lamina lanceolate to obovate: 20 cm x 4 cm to 40 cm x 10 cm; margins fimbriate; apex accuminate to acute; base attenuate; veins: 4- 8, located in the entire area of the lamina, pennate nerves froming a distinct rectangular pattern.
Lower Pitchers: ventricose in the lower part, cylindrical towards the mouth, usually hipped: 5 cm x 1 cm to 10 cm x 2 cm; 2 fimbriate wings; mouth orbiculate, oblique; peristome flattened, to 2- 3 cm wide; lid orbicular to orbicular- ovate, to 3 cm, apex rounded, base rounded, glandular beneath; spur flattened with 2+ attenuations, confluent with lid, to .3- .6 cm.
Upper Pitchers: gradually originating from tendril, infundibulate at base, cylindrical above, distinctly hipped: 12 cm x 2 cm to 20 cm x 3 cm; 2 ribs present; mouth orbiculate, oblique; peristome flattened, to 2- 3 cm wide; lid orbicular to orbicular- ovate, to 3 cm, apex rounded, base rounded, lid glandular beneath; spur flattened with 2+ attenuations, confluent with lid, to .3- .6 cm.
Inflorescence: dense raceme, to 15 cm; pedicels 1 flowered, 1.5 cm long; bracts rarely present.
Indumentum: sparse, on growing parts only.
Color: pitchers usually a pale green to yellowish, sometimes flushed red on the upper part, rarely with red flecks, sepals red.
Distinguishing Features: fimbriate margins on lower leaves, hipped pitchers, regular net- like venation pattern
