N. petiolata Danser (1928) Philippines; Moss Forest Description: DANSER 353
Stems: climbing; cylindrical. Leaves: petiolate, semi- amplexicaul; lamina oblong- lanceolate; veins: 4, located in the outer 1/3 of lamina, pennate veins irregularly reticulaate. Lower Pitchers: UNKNOWN Upper Pitchers: large, ovate, ventricose in the lower part, cylindrical in the upper part; 2 fimbriate wings present; mouth oblique, elevated towards neck; peristome flattened, expanded, ribs somewhat coarse, teeth on the inner margin are 2- 5x as long as broad, to 1.5 cm wide; lid ovate, apex rounded, base cordate, lid glandular. Inflorescence: a raceme. Indumentum: sparse. Color: Distinguishing Features: differing from N. merriliana in the petiolate leaves and somewhat coarser ribs to the peristome.
