Sumatra; Moss Forest, Highland (910 - 1550 m)
Description: DANSER 382
Stems: climbing, to 5 m; cylindrical to obtusely triangular the internodes - 7 cm long, to .1- .3 cm thick.
Leaves: sessile, semi- amplexicaul, reflexed; lamina linear: 5 cm x 0.6 cm to 12 cm x 1.5 cm; margins involute; apex acute; base rounded; veins: 0- 2, located in the outer part of the lamina, nerves mostly invisible.
Lower Pitchers: the basal part infundibulate, then ventricose, narrowed in the middle to 1/2 or 2/3 of its width, infundibulate towards the mouth, the mouth as wide as the ventricose part: 4.5 cm x 1.5 cm to 9 cm x 2.5 cm; 2 fimbriate wings present, to 0.15 cm; mouth nearly round, acute to lid; peristome cylindrical, ribs indistinct, inner margin almost entire, to .05- .1 cm wide; lid orbicular to elliptic, apex rounded, base cordate, glandular; spur filiform, inserted close to lid, to 0.3 cm.
Upper Pitchers: the basal part infundibulate, then ventricose, narrowed in the middle to 1/2 or 2/3 of its width, infundibulate towards the mouth, the mouth as wide as the ventricose part: 4.5 cm x 1.5 cm to 9 cm x 2.5 cm; 2 prominent ribs present; mouth nearly round, acute to lid; peristome cylindrical, ribs indistinct, inner margin almost entire, to .05- .1 cm wide; lid orbicular to elliptic, apex rounded, base cordate, lid glandular; spur filiform, inserted close to lid, to 0.3 cm.
Inflorescence: a raceme, to 40 cm; pedicels 2 flowered, 1.5 cm long; bracts not present.
Indumentum: stellate tomentose on the very young pitcher, tendrils, axils, sometimes on the midrib of the leaves.
Color: stems light- green to dark- brown, leaves green or light- green above, paler beneath, yellowish- brown towards apex, as is tendril, pitchers light- green or yellowish- green with red points or more red, rarely almost wholly green, staminal column light- green.
