This thread will hopefully share the forbidden knowledge of gender of specific vegetative plants and or their tc counterparts. For example. N. Dyeriana is male. I will try to post photos of each plant in question and invite others who have seen the truth of their plant's sex to share photos and insights. I believe the knowledge of knowing what sex your plant is will greatly enhance breeding efforts and share common knowledge that should be known by all.

Here is a small list I've made with my own experiences, along with those of some growers I've asked:
N. clipeata clone 3: male (wistuba) N. campanulata BE-3044: male N. veitchii x lowii #14: female (EP) N. raff x veitchii: female (MT) N. Judith Finn: male N. Miranda: male N. Tiveyi: male N. talangensis: male (CZ plants) N. izumiae: male (BE) N. bicalcarata [red flush]: female (BE) boschiana (AW) male campanulata (MT) female fusca Crocker Range (?) female mindanaoensis (BE) male mira (BE) male veitchii HL (MT) male khasiana (?) female maxima (Sam Estes) female spectabilis (EP) female tobaica, red (UC Botanical Gardens, Berkeley) male veitchii LL (Sam Estes) male ventricosa black peristome (BE) female ventricosa 'K' (EP) male ventricosa red (Agristarts) female
It is also important to note there was a boschiana offered from cuttings from Wistuba many years ago, before he got the species into TC. Those cuttings are female.
