Worth remembering that many people already have N. alba.
From what I understand (please tell me if I've got it wrong), the plants that have previously been sold by everyone as N. gracillima, are actually N. alba. So dispite what many grow lists will say - it is actually N. gracillima that hasn't been in cultivation.
I hope that is right.

Hi all:
Nobody has said anything about the N. edwardsiana by A. Wistuba. I am sure that'd be a heck of a beautiful mini-plant to have!

Kind of confusing that Wistuba lists N. gracillima on their site and then BE comes out with their N. gracillimas and now they're being referred to as N. alba? I wonder what these latest species are going to be called in a few months. It's getting hard to keep track of 'em all.

Noboby ever had N. gracillima in cultivation, just like nobody ever had N. thorelii.
Any plants previously called N. gracillima are really N. alba.
Not sure if the real N. gracillima is in cultivation...

EP did a list update and among the hybrids that went quick were lowii x merrilliana and lowii x truncata squat. There's truncata x spect seedlings on the list that look interesting.

Joel: I am afraid that I blinked and missed the latest EP hybrids. Do you remember the prices? They both sound great. I have to believe more of these are on the way because of the extent to which they are publicizing the lowii x merrilliana.

Tony has them on his reservation page as of 6/7 and the lowii x truncs are 95.00 and the lowii x merrillianas are 90.00. CP Jungle hasn't listed them yet.

Not sure if the real N. gracillima is in cultivation... I think there was some issue of timing--the species, N. gracillima was finally relocated confirming it and N. alba are not the same; but there was no seed collected of N. gracillima. Apparently, N. alba is easy to find by its bright colors and habit of living in meadows and flowers frequently. N. gracillima on the other hand is darkly colored, grows in dense forest and flowers up at the tree tops so it is a lot more difficult to find it in the first place and then it is also harder to collect seed... But I would have to think that someone has finally had some luck collecting seed of N. gracillima...?
