The more I see photo examples of their sib x hamata the more I think they need to address this as a public apology. Mistakes can happen, even for the nepenthes god this can happen. Sticking your head in the sand and not posting stuff on forums make it more obvious that there was a labeling issue or perhaps a error (pray not this be the case) in the cross itself. M Hi everyone I think this situation is far more worse than we think. Last year I ordered some N.spectabilis x talangensis which BE clamied they were all seed growing from their nersery. But as they grow in my place, I found there is no talangensis traits inside that hybrid. The same thing happened again and again so now I did not put any order to get their hybrids especially the one they claimed from seeds.

I can see talangensis traits in mine. The hairy leaf edges for one. Another trait which mine shares is a rather peculiar one. Both my talang and this hybrid both seem to fill there pitchers to overflowing with their own secreations. I have not had this with any other species or hybrid that I grow. Maybe you either got unlucky or perhaps you just can't see it. Post some pic's for people to see and speculate over.

I don't buy hybrids from BE... except I do want one of their spectabilis x ventricosas.

Hi philgreen I do not post mine but mine is the same as the one in the below links 192.192.42.4/tbgweb/cgi-bin/topic.cgi?forum=19&topic=8978&start=45&show=0I have seen more than "10 seedings" but all of them were like the one I shows , lack of talangensis traits and produce enlongate pitchers. Much different than the clone which BE sold before (TC clone)

Hi philgreen I believe the one you got was not from those batch of the seedings. You got the TC clone which BE released before those "seedings" become available,Which much looks like the real spectabilis x talangensis. I said that because I've got both of them so that's why I can be so sure about that.

Hi Flymoon, Mine isn't a TC clone, mine was from the seed grown release in early 2007, maybe you had a later TC release from this batch. But it certainly looks like these others are a totally different batch - maybe another cross (explaining the difference) or maybe a mixup ? Whatever I certainly prefer the early ones.
