The mystery merrilliana hybrid reminds me of some of the talangensis crosses, any plants that look like that species? Also, that N. "Pharaoh" pitcher is breathtaking!

You definitely don't see many pastels around, do you? The contrast between pitcher and peristome is astounding! I need to get some veitchii hybrids....

So kind of like my amp pitchers that get really colorful on one side (facing sun) and stay green on the other.

The maxi hybrid pitcher in the pic with the lowii x campy is really interesting! It's got a bicolor peristome!

I have red ventricosa pollen available, I have always wanted to see a raff x vent cross.

I'm liking the color too, but again, I'm not certain. A lot of the splendiana x truncata photos usually depict young or uper pitchers that are all green. It could also be a form of alata x truncata.

Looking at pics on the web, it could possibly be a number of things, but besides a rather deep color, the pitcher shape seems a failry good match for such a cross.

That peristome is beautiful! It would be awesome to see this in a back-cross with bical, keeping the patterning but regaining teeth! WOW!

GOt bad news. THe flower started to stress the plant out too much, so I had to remove it. The buds had stopped expanding even. However, still have the couple packets of N. ventricosa pollen, I think that would be a great cross with a veitchii hybrid, giving peristome and shape.

When the flowers open up I'll let you know if it is male. The buds are a bit small to tell right now, but they should be male.
